The two living walls were part of a new prototype store for the company.  The exterior living wall was a first for a zone 3 climate.

Rocky Mountain soap is a company widely known for being sustainable minded. In a pursuit to “remove toxins from the world”, the company aimed to renovate their Canmore store to meet the Living Building Challenge Standards. With this goal in mind, they approached us to incorporate vegetation to their new space. 

Our design included two living walls, one exterior and one interior. The exterior living wall served as a living fascia sign, a highly experimental approach for the Zone 3 climatic context. Our solution uses native and adaptive plant species within a 4” soil profile in modular panels.
